Introduction

To get to the Data section, click the database icon on the left side tabs in Bubble Editor.

Data Types

Note: In case you have accidentally deleted a data type - no worries! Bubble lets you restore💪the deleted data type. Clicking on 'show deleted types' or 'show deleted fields' from the Data → Data types tab will reveal the deleted items, and a 'restore' button will appear next to each deleted entry. Simply click 'restore', to restore a field or data type.

Tip: Aside from the below-listed data types and fields, Bubble creates these default fields visible in each data type: Creator, Modified Date, Created Date and Slug, except for the User data type. The User data type will have the following fields: email, Modified Date, Created Date and Slug. These fields' values can be used in workflows, conditional formatting, etc. To learn more, see the Bubble manual

Attachment

This data type contains files attached to tasks.

Field Name	Type	Notes
сover	yes / no	Used to (not) show the cover of an uploaded file
picture	image	Stores the uploaded image.
Task	Task	Indicates the related task.
url	text	Stores the URL link.

Board

This data type contains lists of tasks lists.

Field Name	Type	Notes
Lists	List of Lists	Stores list of tasks lists.
name	text	Stores title of the board.
User	User	Stores the name of the board creator.

List

This data type contains a list of tasks.

Field Name	Type	Notes
board	Board	This is a link to the object board, it attributes the list to that board.
Tasks	List of Tasks	Stores list of tasks.
name	text	Stores the list title.

Task

This data type contains fields with data related to a task.

Attachments	List of Attachments	Stores the list of files attached to a task.
cover	image	Stores the task cover image.
description	text	Stores the task description.
duedate	date	Stores the task due date.
List	List	Stores the name of the attributed list.
order	number	Stores task order number.
taskname	text	Stores the task name.

User

Bubble applications have a built-in User data type that acts like any type that is created in a database. For instance, you can modify a user, delete a user, list them in a repeating group, etc.

This data type contains fields with data related to a user.

full name	text	Stores the user's full name.
picture	image	Stores the avatar picture of the user.
